ABOUT US
Here at Twin Root Farm, we believe that flowers bring so much joy, happiness, and enrichment to the lives of those our flowers encounter. No matter the occasion, one arrangement is enough to lift anyone’s spirit. Since 2021, we have provided our community & surrounding area of Elk River, Minnesota with a large selection of speciality cut flowers. Twin Root Farm is a family operated business. Ellie is the driver of the business, but behind her is her husband, Paul, and their three children. In addition to the farm, Ellie is also a Special Education Teacher. A unique part of Twin Root Farm is that we also teach workshops and provid Enrichment Programming designed for individuals with disabilities and Senior Adult Living facilities.
TWIN ROOT FARM
When Ellie and Paul moved into a horse farm in 2016 they knew they had a different vision for the land. In 2019, they began learning more about sustainable farming & gardening. The horse stalls were removed from the barn, repurposed into raised garden beds to grow vegetables. It was through researching how to invite more pollinators into the vegetable garden that Ellie started learning about cut flowers. It was then that the family vegetable garden expanded and cut flowers had taken over the garden. Each year after the garden & flower field continues to expand to include more specialty cut flowers, herbs, grasses and foliage.
